Benchmark Environmental Consultants has an immediate opening for a Project Manager with TCEQ, TRRP, VCP and other investigation and remediation experience.  The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in an environmentally-related field with a minimum of 5 years experience completing multiple projects simultaneously with strict deliverable deadlines.

The qualified individual should have experience in and be responsible for interpreting and ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations; planning, directing and coordinating siting/permitting projects; and task and project management. Duties would include writing environmental analysis documents; conducting desktop and field studies; preparing environmental permit documents; participating in meetings and agency consultation; and client interaction.

This position will provide support in the preparation of NEPA documents including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements including cumulative impacts analyses. In addition, the position will require consultation and coordination with federal, state and local resource agencies, and county agencies, clients and other Staff. Major job duties include project management, consisting of coordinating project team work and deliverables, monitoring schedule and budget, and interfacing with clients, agencies and internal staff.

The ideal and most qualified Environmental Biologist, Botanist, or Scientist will have past NEPA experience.

Required Qualifications:

* Must have at least 2 years of environmental consulting industry experience in the role of Biologist, Botanist, or Environmental Scientist.

* Environmental experience conducting biological assessments, plant surveys, wetland delineations, rare and endangered species surveys, environmental monitoring and preparing NEPA documents is a plus.

* Requires a Bachelors or Masters degree in Biology, Botany Environmental Science or related discipline.

* Must possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities required

Benchmark Environmental Consultants recently completed projects for a confidential client in Krakow, Poland and Tianjin, China.  Work consisted of Phase I Environmental Assessment services to assess various manufacturing facilities to observe any environmental conditions on-site as well as interviewing knowledgable parties.  In addition, thorough historical property data was retrieved to assess the past conditions of the subject property as well as adjacent properties.  Due to the international nature of these projects, specialized efforts were utilized to research and access environmental data and mapping resources to complete a thorough Phase I ESA.  Benchmark project managers worked closely with our client to ensure all standards and levels of effort were being met.
