Walker Consultants, Inc. wins HONORABLE MENTION in Environmental Business Journal’s 2009 Business Achievement Awards
Dallas, TX – January 8, 2010 — Benchmark Environmental Consultants was once again honored to be presented with an award from the highly coveted Environmental Business Journal Business Achievement Awards for 2009. Benchmark increased revenue by 45% from 1.6 million in 2003 to $2.9 million in 2009 continuing a consistent pattern of sustained growth. Despite the downturn in the US economy, Benchmark recorded their best revenue year in company history in 2009 increasing revenue by over 17% from 2008. This significant growth was fueled by expansion of transportation services through a large contract with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and expansion of telecommunications services throughout the Gulf Coast region into Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. In 2008 Benchmark received the bronze award in engineering and consulting for small businesses from the Environmental Business Journal.
