Walker Consultants, Inc. wins Wildlife Hazard Assessment Contract with Dallas Love Field
Dallas, Texas -May 30, 2010-Benchmark Environmental Consultants was recently awarded a contract by Dallas Love Field Airport and the City of Dallas to conduct a Wildlife Hazard Assessment (WHA). Benchmark has teamed with Peloton Land Solutions and BASH, Inc. providing a complete team of FAA Qualified Wildlife Biologists.

Under this contract, Benchmark will assist Dallas Love Field Airport in addressing the nationwide concern of increasing wildlife strikes with aircraft. Benchmark will provide WHA services in accordance with 14 CFR 139.337 and FAA Advisory Circular (AC) 150/5200-33 latest edition. Additionally, Dallas Love Field employees will receive training in wildlife control measures for the airport.
Benchmark NEPA Specialist Erin Johnson is leading the helm of this large scale year-long assessment and project. “We are thrilled to undertake this project with the airport and develop wildlife solutions in our very own backyard,” stated Erin. Ms. Johnson has a strong background in providing NEPA-related services to electrical energy, oil and gas, and transportation companies.
Dallas Love Field Airport is owned and operated by City of Dallas, and spans over approximately 1,300 acres. The airport currently maintains three runways, and services over 200,000 annual arrivals and departures. According to Dallas City Hall, the airport supports and stimulates an estimated 32,745 jobs and has a direct annual economic output of over 1.9 billion dollars.
