2009 Best Firms to Work For List
October 12, 2009 (Dallas, Texas)– CE News in conjunction with the Environmental Business Journal have awarded their Best Firms to Work For honors to companies in the civil engineering, structural engineering, multidiscipline A/E services, environmental services, and architecture companies in its annual ranking of top industry firms. Benchmark Environmental Consultants (Benchmark) was proudly ranked No. 7 in the Top 15 Best Environmental Service Firms to Work For in the nation. Benchmark was also ranked No. 5 in the Top 5 Best Firms to Work For in the Small Firms Category (Firms with less than 50 employees). In addition, Benchmark was also awarded with the Best Employee Recognition Program honor. Winners were announced on September 22, 2009 at the 6th annual Best Firm to Work for Summit Awards Banquet in Chicago, Illinois where prominent figures in the engineering, environmental, and structural sectors converged. The awards were personally accepted by Benchmark’s Vice President, Thomas A. Cincotta.
In the environmental industry where the business players are mostly male, Benchmark Environmental is proud to have a strong female leader at the helm of their company, CEO and President Kelly Walker P.G. Ms. Walker was also awarded by the Dallas Business Journal as one of the Top Women in Business for 2009. Ms. Walker started Benchmark Environmental in 1991 and focuses on progressive and cost effective solutions to environmental situations.
